32 This Jesus (A)God raised up, (B)and of that we all are witnesses. 33 (C)Being therefore (D)exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from (E)the Father (F)the promise of the Holy Spirit, (G)he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34 For (H)David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

(I)“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35     until I make your enemies your footstool.”’

36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that (J)God has made him (K)both Lord and Christ, this Jesus (L)whom you crucified.”

37 Now when (M)they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, (N)what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, (O)“Repent and (P)be baptized every one of you (Q)in the name of Jesus Christ (R)for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive (S)the gift of the Holy Spirit.

23 And when they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. 24 Having received this order, he put them into the inner (A)prison and fastened their feet in (B)the stocks.

The Philippian Jailer Converted

25 (C)About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, 26 and suddenly (D)there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately (E)all the doors were opened, and (F)everyone's bonds were unfastened. 27 When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and (G)was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, “Do not harm yourself, for we are all here.” 29 And the jailer[a] called for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear he (H)fell down before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, (I)what must I do to be (J)saved?” 31 And they said, (K)“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you (L)and your household.” 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them (M)the same hour of the night and washed their wounds; and he (N)was baptized at once, he and all his family. 34 Then he brought them up into his house and set food before them. And he (O)rejoiced along with his entire household that he had believed in God.
